Participación y marginalidad: nuevas posibilidades en el arte contemporáneo

Resumen
Se intenta mostrar que, en el contexto del arte contemporáneo, existen obras de arte participativo que han incluido a personas que viven con un trastorno mental, así como obras de arte marginal que tienen características del arte participativo. Partiendo de los términos ‘arte contemporáneo’, ‘arte participativo’ y ‘arte marginal’, y considerando la metodología de la investigación documental propuesta por Lucía Vivero Correa y Blanca Isabel Sánchez Cruz, este recorrido nos lleva a comprender el amplio espectro que abarca el arte participativo. Se concluye que el arte marginal estableció en sus orígenes que las obras adscritas a él son hechas para consumo personal, lo que no favoreció que integrara rasgos de otros ámbitos artísticos, como el arte participativo.
